There's HOPE In Me (CD)Louis Brittz
There’s HOPE in me
South African Christian music veteran Louis Brittz releases there's HOPE in me with the prayer that his listeners will be encouraged and inspired.
The album is his first studio project in 5 years, following his blessed Psalms project that has sold more than 35 000 units to his Afrikaans audience.
Most of Louis' ministry takes place in the Afrikaans worship-world and he hasn't penned English singer-songwriter material in a while. He has, in the past, had Christian radio hits with songs like "Unashamed", "Flood the world" and "Dry bones" and as his ministry has now again taken an international turn, he felt the time was right to write and record this album.
For "there's HOPE in me" Louis tackled the themes that make our Christian walk unique and our witness to the world powerful: Hope, grace, love and the visible presence of God in our families.
He often ministers with his wife Hettie, an internationally published author and speaker in family ministry, and some of the songs on "there's HOPE in me" tag on to the themes she addresses.
Louis and Hettie are survivors of an armed robbery and rape and listeners will hear Louis' response to these events and the journey God took them on, clearly in songs like "Hope in me", "Love", "Be still my heart" and "You make me lie down". The album has potential to minister deeply to people going through suffering.
A seasoned songwriter, Louis embedded meaty theology into catchy, listenable music. The style is folk-rock with lots of layers. It's get-up-and-dance happy, but also atmospheric and organic. Masterfully produced by Gideon Botes (SAMA-award winning producer) the album offers a clean, dynamic variety to lovers of adult Christian contemporary music, world-wide.
