Fathers And Sons (Paperback)Angus Buchan
Angus Buchan encourages fathers and sons to build strong and God-honoring relationships.
Next to God, a family is the most important relationship a person can possibly have in this life. The Lord never designed us to be on our own. We need each other, just like iron sharpens iron, just like coal needs fire in order to burn brightly.
Fathers and Sons is a call to fathers to guard their relationship with their sons, and for sons to treasure their relationship with their father – with passion and purpose.
Some of the themes Angus Buchan discusses in Fathers and Sons include: Dad’s affirmation, role models, grace and respect, humility versus pride, sacrifice, what constitutes a father and tough love.
Fathers and Sons will encourage every dad to be the father that God wants him to be by revealing the incredible impact his role has on his children.

My late dad was very much a man’s man. He was a black-
smith by trade. As a young man of eighteen he came to
seek his fortune in Africa, carrying only a small suitcase. He had
just a few dollars in his back pocket.
During the Second World War he was a prisoner of war for
three and a half years. He was repatriated and married my mo-
ther, a lovely young Scottish lassie, who had waited six years
for him before they were able to marry. They returned to Africa
together to make a home for themselves and to create an op por-
tunity to raise a family.
